The North Slope Borough is seeking sealed bids for construction services for the Tikigaq School in Point Hope, Alaska. The work largely consists of the renovation of the existing Commercial Kitchen Project Administrator: Eric Hernandez - eric.hernandez@north-slope.org - 907-852-0489 Ext. 6212 Each proposal shall be accompanied by a certified or cashier's check payable to the order of the North Slope Borough for a sum not less than five percent (5%) of the amount of the proposal, or accompanied by a bid bond, in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the amount of the proposal, of a corporate surety licensed to do business in the State of Alaska, conditioned that the bidder will pay the Borough, as liquidated damages, the amount specified in the bond, unless it enters into a contract in accordance with its proposal and furnishes the performance and payment bond with surety satisfactory to the Borough in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price and insurance certificate within ten (10) days from the date on which it is notified that it is the successful bidder, its check (or bid bond) and the amount thereof shall be forfeited to the Borough. The Work shall be conducted in four phases, as necessary to allow school activities to continue during established school year. This includes operation of the commercial kitchen during the periods listed. 1. Phase I: Period from Contractor's formal Notice to Proceed to July 31, 2022. During this phase, Contractor shall have full access to the site, and Owner may take limited occupancy of completed areas, as described in "Coordination with Occupants" Article below. 2. Phase II: Period from July 31, 2022 to May 15, 2023. During this phase, Owner will have full occupancy of the facility, and full school activities will occur. Contractor shall have limited access to the site, as described in "Work Restrictions" Article below. During this period, the owner will require full operation of the commercial kitchen. 3. Phase III: Period from May 15, 2023 to July 31, 2023. During this phase, Contractor shall have full access to the site, and Owner may take limited occupancy of completed areas, as described in "Coordination with Occupants" Article below. 4.
