The Otay Water District (District) is soliciting bids for ROOF AND SKYLIGHT REPLACEMENT AT THE RWCWRPF as further described in the bid documents herein. All work is to be performed in accordance with State of California laws and statutes governing public works and prevailing wages. No contractor or subcontractor may be listed on a bid proposal or awarded a contract for a public works project unless registered with the Department of Industrial Relations pursuant to Labor Code section 1725.5 [with limited exceptions from this requirement for bid purposes only under Labor Code section 1771.1(a)]. Q & A deadline: Feb 10, 2021 7:00:00 PM EST The Scope of Work for roof and skylight replacement, including coating and repairs, at the Ralph W. Chapman Water Recycling Facility (RWCWRF), located at 11901 Singer Lane, Spring Valley, CA 91978, shall include materials, management, labor, transportation, equipment, tools, fees, inspections, storage, insurance, bonds, permits, and incidentals necessary for the proper execution and completion of the project (Project). The roofing contractor under the prime contract is responsible for all safety during the project and is responsible for ensuring that all subcontractors operate in a safe manner during the roof and skylight replacement, coating and repair process. All City, County and State requirements are to be included in the cost and scope of the "Base Bid" and all "Alternate" selections unless specifically disclosed by the contractor at time ofbid at no additional cost to the Owner. The Scope of Work shall include: removal of the existing roof system(s) and flashings down to the structural deck (roof replacement only), inspection of the structural deck and replacement if damaged or unacceptable in any way, preparation of the deck and installation Clay Tile Roof Replacement (Bldg. 1 & 2) - The new roof system is to consist of mechanically attaching the existing tile, replacing damaged and broken tile with new to match existing, over two layers of 30# ASTM underlayment felt mechanically attached into the plywood substrate. Roof Repairs (Bldg. 3) - Perform roof repairs as outlined on attached roof plan and as discussed at the Pre-Bid Conference. Roof Coating and Skylight Replacement (Bldg. 4) - The new coating system is to consist of a two-coat white acrylic coating installed over the metal roof; and replacement of skylights
