1. EXTERIOR: Exterior Masonry Remediation, Restoration and Renovation Work as defined in the Construction Documents and Specifications. Salvaging of whole concrete masonry units (CMU) from the northeast corner of the adjacent Boiler Building for use in repairing the Administration Building . All other work as defined in the Construction Documents and Specifications. The work includes all labor, materials, equipment and transportation necessary to complete the work as specified and as shown on the accompanying drawings. 2.1 CONTRACTS A. General Contract for Construction: 1. The work will be done under one contract: Contract No. 1 - General Construction Work 2. Contract Documents for - General Construction Work consist of: All Bidding Requirements, Contract Forms and Conditions of the Contract. All Technical Specification Sections. All Drawings. Within forty-eight (48) hours after award is made by Seneca County to the successful bidder, the County will mail to such bidder at the address given by him on his bid, a notice in writing to the effect that the award has been made to him, but the mailing or receipt of such notice shall not be a condition precedent to the right of the County to take such lawful action as it deems advisable. All work on this contract shall be completed in accordance with the following schedule and as indicated in Construction Documents. Schedules of additional dates beyond those indicated shall be subject to the approval of the County. The Contractor shall be required to take all measures to minimize the duration of the project: Administration Building - Masonry Remediation: 60 calendar days B. It is of the utmost importance that the construction schedule for this project be strictly adhered to by all parties involved. As soon as successful bidders are determined, the County and their Project Manager Consultant will contact all parties involved. Attendance at these meetings will be mandatory. The Prime Contractor shall provide all necessary measures to protect health, welfare, and safety of the general public, to prevent accidents, to avoid unnecessary hazards and to protect the property to which the work under this contract pertains at all times during the duration of the contract period.
