The work for which bids are being requested is located throughout the City of Albion. The work for which bids are being requested consists of sidewalk removal and replacement, sidewalk ramp removal and replacement, concrete curb & gutter removal and replacement, tree removals, drainage structure adjustments and casting replacements, and various appurtenances. The City of Albion reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any irregularities in bidding. A certified check or bank draft drawn on a solvent bank in the State of Michigan payable without condition to the City of Albion or a satisfactory bid bond executed by the bidder and a surety company, in an amount equal to 5 percent of the bid shall be submitted with each bid. No bids may be withdrawn after the scheduled closing time for receipt of bids for a period of sixty (60) days to allow the review of proposals and to allow completion of necessary financial arrangements. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a satisfactory Performance Bond and Payment Bond in the amount of 100 percent of the Contract price.
