For Former National Training Building Demolition and Renovation Project The proposed work for which the City of Sterling is soliciting bids consists of, but is not limited to, the following: The partial demolition of the former National Training Building and the renovation of the portion of the building to remain including but not limited to: roof replacement, new doors, new windows, exterior cladding improvements, concrete deck improvements, electrical, plumbing and other associated work. A bid security in an amount equal to not less than five percent (5%) of the total base bid shall be submitted with each bid. Bids may be held by the City of Sterling for a period not to exceed sixty (60) days from the date of the opening of bids for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the qualifications of bidders, prior to awarding the Contract. Attention is called to the fact that not less than the minimum salaries and wages as set forth in the Contract Documents must be paid on this project, and all Contractors must insure employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of their race, color, religion, sex or national origin.
