As of November 2, 2021, a general contractor has been awarded and construction is expected to begin in mid November 2021. The Maryland-National Park and Planning Commission (M-NCPPC) is soliciting IFB for the replacement of the pedestrian bridge spanning the Henson Creek at the 9-hole golf course. The Henson Creek Golf Course Bridge Replacement (Project) is located at 1641 Tucker Road, Fort Washington, Maryland and will include a new golf cart pedestrian bridge, an asphalt path connection from the existing golf cart path to the new golf cart pedestrian bridge, limited stream restoration work immediately west of the new bridge location, and removal of the existing bridge after the new one has been completed and approved. Representatives of the Commission will be present at the Pre-Bid Meeting for the express purposes of providing responses to questions regarding the scope of and requirements for the performance of work required and to provide interpretations and clarifications of the provisions of the Bidding Documents, which may be sought by potential bidders. Interpretations and clarifications of the Bidding Documents will only be provided in strict accordance with Paragraph 6, Interpretation of Bidding Documents, of the Bidding Documents' Instructions To Bidders.
