Site work for a golf course in North Port, Florida. Completed plans call for site work for a golf course.
North Port Parks & Recreation is requesting design and installation of a free admission, public, 9-hole disc golf course on the city owned parcel along the Myakkahatchee Creek at 5801 North Port Blvd, parcel ID # 0993002000. Parks & Recreation requests course design and installation services including, limited only to what is necessary for course play, construction of tees, and the installation of signs and baskets. Course design should have minimal impact to the environment, by utilizing natural clearings and existing landscape and blending into the surroundings. If design allows within budget and without additional impact on trees or wetlands, Parks & Recreation would support an 18- hole course in lieu of a 9-hole course. The requested design intends to promote use by all ages, abilities, and should outline accessibility considerations and recommendations. Patrons will be provided free, unsupervised access to the course between sunrise and sunset daily. The course will not require lighting, electricity, or utilities.
