The City of Mt. Juliet, TN is located in the Nashville, TN metropolitan area. The city had a population of 39,000+ according to the 2022 National Census and is one of the fastest growing cities in the State of Tennessee. The city has 4 elected commissioners and an elected mayor, which comprise the governing body. The governing body hires a professional City Manager as the chief administrative official. The City Manager is responsible for all city personnel. The city currently provides public safety, building inspection and codes enforcement, public works, parks and recreation, and administrative functions. The Mt. Juliet Parks Department is requesting bids for a new playground at the Hamilton Denson Park. The equipment will go on a 50' X 56' pad. The bid will need to include the following: ADA compliant poured in place resilient surfacing A shade structure over the playground Equipment to safely fit the size of the pad. (Layout to be designed by the bidder) The proposed equipment should be appropriate for children ages 2-5 and 5-12 and fit safely in the playground area specified. There should be two price options: one with fencing around the playground and one with no fencing included. This project is part of Phase 2 of the Hamilton Denson Park Project for the City of Mt. Juliet. The project will consist of the construction of a "New Playground" that is appropriate for ages 2-5 & 5-12. The area for the playground is approximately 50 x 56' adjacent to the proposed Restroom Facility. The playground should include an ADA compliant poured in place resilient surface, color TBD, and a shade structure, color TBD. The cost for these items should be listed in you bid separately from the playground. Two paper copies of the bid are required. All paper bids must have the name of the project, and the bid due date on the outside of the envelope. Paper bid must be signed by authorized representative of company/business placing bid at time bid is received by the City of Mt. Juliet. Bidder will show evidence of license, expiration date and classification if required and when applicable. By submission of this bid, each bidder and each person signing on behalf of any bidder certifies, and in the case of a joint bid each party thereto certifies as to its own organization, under penalty of perjury, that to the best of its knowledge and belief that each bidder is not on the list created pursuant to 12-12-106.
