Renovation of an educational facility in Los Angeles, California. Working plans call for the renovation of a 18-story above grade educational facility.

The University has determined that bidders who submit bids on BMS & VAV Upgrades at the UCLA Wilshire Center, UCLA 100 Medical Plaza, UCLA Westwood Center, UCLA Wilshire Glendon, and UCLA Gayley Center buildings with construction costs between $300,000 and $1,000,000 must be prequalified. Prequalified bidders will be required to have the following California contractor's license(s): C-20 Warm-Air Heating, Ventilating and Air Conditioning Contractor General Description of Work : The work of these BMS & VAV Upgrades consist of upgrading the existing BMS System to a Web Based BMS System and/or upgrading the existing VAV's from Pneumatic to DDC in an occupied high rise office building owned by UCLA. The scope of work includes mechanical and electrical work. No modifications to existing, fire alarm and fire sprinkler systems are anticipated. Individual projects will vary greatly in size and dollar value, from upgrades for a 3 story office building to upgrades for an 18 story office building. However, the University does not represent or guarantee that any particular dollar value of construction work will be awarded to a prequalified contractor during the term of the Prequalification. The scope of work will be separately defined for each project. Prequalified contractors will have the right to bid as prime contractor on a project-by-project basis during a Twenty Four (24) month period from approximately February 1, 2021 through January 31, 2023. In the event that any contractor prequalifies and subsequently fails to continue to meet the minimum criteria, then the University shall have the right to exclude said contractor from the prequalified pool. Original prequalification documents are due before EOD on Friday, February 12, 2021, at the following location: Asset Management Department University of California, Los Angeles 10920 Wilshire Blvd., Suite 815 Los Angeles, CA 90024 310-794-0671 Any person or entity not satisfied with the outcome of the prequalification must file a writ challenging the outcome within 10 calendar days from the date of the University's written notice regarding prequalification determination. However, the University reserves the right to accept late submissions and to request, receive, and evaluate supplemental information after the above time and date at its sole determination. The University reserves the right to reject any or all responses to Prequalification Questionnaires and to waive non-material irregularities in any document received. Each firm submitting timely prequalified documents will be notified by email with prequalification determination.
