The sealed cover must be plainly marked with the IFB number and title, must show your firm name and address, and must be marked with "SEALED COST BID - DO NOT OPEN", as shown in the following example: IFB CSC 23-223 Sewer Line Rehabilitation California Science Center State Administration 700 Exposition Park Los Angeles, CA 90037 SEALED COST BID - DO NOT OPEN Service and Work: Contractor agrees to provide to California Science Center ("CSC") all materials, supplies, equipment and labor necessary to install an 8-inch sewer line pipe sleeve. B. Background Information: This scope of work is for sewer line rehabilitation services. Services will include pipe sleeving on the 8-inch sewer line from end of line manhole (located on Exposition Park Blvd.), traffic control plans per watch book, and 10ft cannons to perform inversion of approximately 100ft of 8-inch pipe sleeve to correct and rehabilitate clay sewer pipe. These services will preserve surface and underground infrastructure, increase the pipes' resistance to temperatures and corrosion, and prevent leakages in the sewer and water pipes. If the pipeline is not lined, this can result in increased corrosion and tuberculation, adversely impacting the entire plumbing system of the Science Center. Tuberculation is the development of small mounds of corrosion products on the inside of iron pipes. C. Hours of Service: Work shall take place between 6:00 AM and 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday, excluding State holidays, unless otherwise approved by CSC Contract Manager or designee. Contractor must notify CSC Contract Manager of any delays in schedule as soon as possible. D. Service Locations and Schedule: Services will take place through the end of line manhole (located on Exposition Park Blvd.) at the California Science Center, located at 700 Exposition Park Drive, Los Angeles, California 90037. E. Licenses and Permits: C-36 Plumbing Contractor license from the California State License Board is required for this project. Licenses and permits required must be provided by Contractor and he/she shall abide by all Federal, State, and city laws or rules affecting the work and shall maintain all required protection for property, employees, and the public and insurance in connection with same, for all of which he/she shall bear the necessary expense.
