Renovation of an educational facility in Los Angeles, California. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.

Subject to conditions prescribed by the University of California, Los Angeles, responses to the University prequalification documents for a Lump Sum contract are sought from prospective bidders for the following project: UCLA AM Prequalification for Elevator Modernizations Project Number: 20210129-1628-99 UNIVERSITY OF CALIFORNIA, Los Angeles PREQUALIFICATION OF PROSPECTIVE BIDDERS The University has determined that bidders who submit bids on Elevator Modernization Projects throughout the Asset Management Portfolio with construction costs between $300,000 and $1,500,000 must be prequalified. Prequalified bidders will be required to have the following California contractor's license(s): B - General Contractor, C-11 Elevator Contractor The proposed elevator projects are considered full modernization, to include, but are not limited to, installation of new controls, door operator packages, all wiring, switches, cables, fixtures, motors, machines, pump units, etc. All old equipment will be removed and properly disposed. The elevator contractor shall also serve as the General Contractor, and be responsible for all related building items, as they pertain to the elevator modernization. All warranties and maintenance will also be included. Individual projects will vary greatly in size and dollar value, from modernization for hydraulic units in a 3 story office building to modernization of gearless cabs for an 18 story office building. However, the University does not represent or guarantee that any particular dollar value of construction work will be awarded to a prequalified contractor during the term of the Prequalification. The scope of work will be separately defined for each project. Prequalified contractors will have the right to bid as prime contractor on a project-by-project basis during a Five year period from approximately March 1, 2021 through February 28, 2026. In the event that any contractor prequalifies and subsequently fails to continue to meet the minimum criteria, then the University shall have the right to exclude said contractor from the prequalified pool. However, the University reserves the right to accept late submissions and to request, receive, and evaluate supplemental information after the above time and date at its sole determination. Original prequalification documents are due before EOD on Thursday, March 25, 2021, at the following location: Asset Management Department UNIVERSITY OF CALIFORNIA, Los Angeles 10920 Wilshire Blvd., Suite 815 Los Angeles, CA 90024 310-794-0671 The dates, times, and location set for receiving and opening of bids for each project will be set forth in an Advertisement for Bids during the prequalified time period set forth above. The University reserves the right to reject any or all responses to Prequalification Questionnaires and to waive non-material irreg-ularities in any document received. Each firm submitting timely prequalified documents will be notified by email with prequalification determination.
