Estimate: Contract A-$199,200(Add Alt. $50,000); Contract B -$232,544(Add Alt. $29,544) Sealed bids marked Sealed Bid LCDBG FY 20-21 Sugar Hill Elevated Tank Rehabilitation, Contract A Sandblast & Paint Elevated Storage Tank and LCDBG FY 20-21 Sugar Hill Elevated Tank Rehabilitation, Contract B Water Line Extensions & Rehabilitationwill be received by the Owner Contract Time: 120 Calendar Days (Contract a & Contract B) Liquidated Damages: $100 (One Hundred) Per Calendar Day (Contracts a & B) ) Each bidder must deposit with his/her bid, security in the amount, form and subject to the conditions provided in the Information for Bidders. Sureties used for obtaining bonds must appear as acceptable on the Department of Treasury Circular 570. The Contractor shall begin mobilization of materials within ten (10) working days of the receipt of the Notice to Proceed. The successful bidder must submit executed copies of certification regarding Equal Employment Opportunity, Section 3 and Segregated Facilities, Section 3 Plan, Certification Concerning Labor Standards, Past Criminal Convictions of Bidders, and the Affidavit of Non-Collusion. The successful bidder will be required to execute the Owners Standard Form of Agreement/Contract for construction together with the Performance and Payment Bonds within ten (10) working days after normal award of contract. Minority owned firms and small businesses are encouraged to participate. Any person with disabilities requiring special accommodations must contact the Richland Parish Police Jury no later than seven (7) days prior to bid opening. Contract A - Sandblast & Paint Elevated Storage Tank awarded to Stephens TPS, Inc. for $174,450.00 (Base Bid - $131,450.00; Add Alt No. 1 - $43,000.00) Contract B - Water Line Extensions & Rehabilitation awarded to Womack & Sons Construction Group for $206,795.40 (Base Bid - $163,887.60; Add Alt. No. 1 - $42,907.80) The Start Date has not yet been determined; but I am quessing mid April or early May.
