Control Number: 2171260 The Eugene Water & Electric Board (EWEB) requests bids for the extension of a 42" water main located on the University of Oregon's riverfront property between Riverfront Parkway and East 8th Avenue. Bidders shall meet Minimum Contractor and Specialty Subcontractor Qualifications as defined in the bid packages. By submission of a bid, the bidder agrees to comply with the provisions of 279C.800 through 279C.870 relating to the latest version of State of Oregon's BOLI Prevailing Wage Rates. Open trench construction of approximately 2780 feet of 42-inch welded steel pipe, 300 feet of 8-inch ductile iron main, 200 feet of 8" welded 8" HDPE slipline, including temporary and permanent restoration of the disturbed surfaces as required by the University of Oregon. Providing traffic control including managing safe pedestrian and bicycle movement around work zone. Install informational signs and coordinate with city of Eugene, other contractors, and the University of Oregon Completing flushing and testing of all new pipelines. Comply with all Union Pacific Railroad permit requirements. Provide all required notices and inspections required by permit. Coordination with other contractors working nearby. Maintain neat and orderly work site, protect work by others, and maintain existing haul roads during use. Engage in regular communication and coordination with other contractors working in the area. Stockpile, manage, and properly dispose of any visibly contaminated materials encountered. Install erosion control measures including construction accesses, wheel washes, silt fencing, protective orange fencing, tree protection, wetland protection, and all other erosion control required by plans, permits, and the city of Eugene. Contractor responsible to modify plan as necessary to ensure protection of trees, wetlands, waterways and storm drains. Removal of abandoned utilities and buried structures including asbestos abatement. Restoration of irrigated athletic field including sod removal and replacement, irrigation pipe repairs, sand base repair, underdrain repairs, overseeding, and fertilization. Restoration to be done by a licensed landscape contractor with experience in irrigated sports field repair Install and test cathodic protection system
