The work is generally described as follows: two tenths mill and fill on Stasal Avenue, Hoffman Street, Summit Street, and miscellances striping improvements. Bids are required for the entire project as set forth in the specifications, and all work shall be completed within 15 work days. At the time the contract is awarded, the Contractor shall possess a Class A license. The Engineer's Estimate for the Base Bid does not exceed $200,000. Inquiries or questions regarding the plans, specifications or estimate must be communicated as a bidder inquiry prior to bid opening directed to the City Engineers Office at Jackson City Hall in writing to n.mccartney@wgainc.net. This contract is subject to state contract nondiscrimination and compliance requirements pursuant to Government Code, Section 12990 and payment to the Contractor shall be in accordance with Section 9-1.16, "Progress Payments" of the State Standard Specifications and the project specifications. The successful bidder shall furnish a fully executed payment bond and performance bond. Pursuant to Section 1773 of the Labor Code, the general prevailing wage rates in Amador County have been determined by the Director of the California Department of Industrial Relations. The wages set forth in the General Prevailing Wage Rates for this project are available from the California Department of Industrial Relations No Contractor or subcontractor may be listed on a bid proposal for a public works project (submitted on or after March 1, 2015) unless registered with the Department of Industrial Relations pursuant to Labor Code Section 1725.5 [with limited exceptions from this requirement for bid purposes only under Labor Code Section 1771.1(a)]. No Contractor or subcontractor may be awarded a contract for public work on a public works project (awarded on or after April 1, 2015) unless registered with the Department of Industrial Relations pursuant to Labor Code Section 1725.5. This project is subject to compliance monitoring and enforcement by the Department of Industrial Relations. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids, and further reserves the right to waive any irregularities in the bids.
