Bid security in the amount of 5% of the total bid is required. The City reserves the right to waive any irregularities or informalities in a bid and to reject any and all bids without cause. Current minimum prevailing wage rates as published by the Alaska Department of Labor must be paid if required by law. Requirements of the Alaska Employment Preference (AS 36.10) must be met. The City of Valdez "Standard Specifications and Standard Details" shall be used. Bids shall be submitted on the forms furnished, or copies thereof, and must be manually signed in ink (except for where electronic signatures are required for bid submission). Original manually signed bid documents will be required from the successful bidder. If erasures or other changes appear on the forms, the person signing the bid must initial each erasure or change. The Bid Form will provide for quotation or price for all items. Bidders must quote on all items. Failure to do so may result in disqualification. Alternative bids will not be acceptable unless requested.
