Village of Mt. Zion, Illinois, invites contractors to submit sealed BIDS for an offer to perform work to complete the project Fletcher Park Splash Pad. The proposed project herein specified and described includes the following work: The construction of a 7,591 SF recreational splashpad. The construction of the recreational splashpad shall consist of approximately 27 spray water features for a toddler area and child/youth area, 2 activator posts, a water treatment system, and 2 shade structures. The contractor will also construct a concrete pad with a walkway area around the spray area. The spray area shall consist of two colored concrete areas with a colored and stamped concrete bridge in the middle. The site improvements will include site grading, electrical work, plumbing, installation, splash pad area drains, storm sewer, holding tank and other associated work. This project is being financed, in part, with funds from the Illinois Department of Natural Resources "Open Space Lands Acquisition & Development" (OSLAD) grant program The Village of Mt. Zion encourages 1) "minority" business firms to submit bids on the approved project, and 2) successful bidders to utilize minority businesses as subcontractors for supplies, equipment, services, and construction. Zion, in "the amount of five percent (5%) of the bid, or BID BOND in the same amount. The Village of Mt. Zion reserves the right to accept, negotiate, or reject any or all proposals and to waive any variance from the requirements of the instructions for bidders.
