It shall be payable to the City of Portland as a guarantee that the bid shall be irrevocable for a period of sixty (60) calendar days, unless otherwise specified, after the bid opening date and time and as liquidated damages should the Bidder fail or neglect to furnish the required performance bond and insurance and execute a contract within ten (10) calendar days after receiving said contract from the Chief Procurement Officer for execution.
