Site work and new construction of a clubhouse / community center in Surrey, British Columbia. Working plans call for the construction of a 190,000-square-foot, two-story above grade clubhouse / community center; and for site work for a clubhouse / community center.
Construction of a new community center that may include: two full size gymnasiums, fitness space, weight room, indoor cycling, fitness studio, mat room, licensed preschool and childcare / drop-in childminding, community kitchen, multipurpose rooms, washrooms, change rooms, storage rooms, staff area and welcoming shared social space, cafe. Common activation space before pay point for dance, open activity for all ages, combination of indoor and outdoor use. Newton Community Centre at 6965-7005 King George Boulevard, Surrey. TIMELINE: Following a competitive process that included three shortlisted design-build teams, the progressive design-build pre-construction services has been awarded. The awarded design/build firm will undertake the design of the Project and related preconstruction services. Project master schedule and duration of the Project's phases will be determined and confirmed in collaboration with the selected progressive Design-Builder and the City. Construction completion is anticipated in 2030. *The Project allocated construction cost will be determined and finalized during Phase 1 Pre-Construction Services in collaboration with the progressive Design-Builder and the City.
