Renovation of a detention facility in Hilo, Hawaii. Completed plans call for the renovation of a detention facility.
The work generally consists of the construction of various mechanical and electrical systems repairs and improvements for the Hawaii Community Correctional Center (HCCC) and the Hale Nani Annex. The work includes replacement of air conditioning equipment and related pipes/conduits/wiring, new masonry wall and roof at the Komohana Building, and replacement of water heaters, installation of air conditioning, and related improvements at the Hale Nani Annex. The estimated construction cost is $500,000 and $1 million. Due to the COVID-19 situation/incident, a pre-bid meeting in accordance with Hawaii Revised Statutes 103D-303.5 has been waived and will not be held. To be eligible to submit a Bid, the Bidder must possess a valid State of Hawaii Contractors license classification (s) B .
