Town of Ponce Inlet Is Accepting Bids for the Construction of Ponce De Leon Circle Septic to Sewer Project. This project consists of construction of approximately 1,200 LF of 8 PVC gravity sewer and sanitary manholes, 1,300 LF of force main as well as a new lift station including wet well, pumps, valves, piping and electrical. Selective demolition, minor stormwater revisions and restoration items are included as well. The Engineers Estimate of Construction Costs is $1,076,275. A certified check or bank draft, payable to the Town of Ponce Inlet, Florida or a satisfactory bid bond executed by the Bidder and an acceptable surety, in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the bid shall be submitted with each bid. NO bid shall be withdrawn for a period of ninety (90) days subsequent to the bid opening without the consent of the Town of Ponce Inlet, Florida. Upon award, the successful bidder will also be required to furnish and pay for a satisfactory contract one hundred percent (100%) Performance and Materials Bond to be recorded by the bidder with the Clerk of the Circuit Court, Volusia County, Florida, and to enter into a contract for services with the Town of Ponce Inlet. Grounds for such a rejection shall include, but shall not be limited to, the receipt of only one responsive bid to the solicitation, realization of overly restrictive specifications in the solicitation, unclear directions to bidders in the solicitation, inadequate number of responses to the solicitation, change in Towns needs after issuance of solicitation, all bids exceeding the allowed budget, and other grounds provided by law.
