Site work and new construction of a playground / park / athletic field in Copperas Cove, Texas. Working plans call for the construction of a playground / park / athletic field; and for site work for a playground / park / athletic field.

As of January 13, 2022 a design/builder has been awarded and the project is expected to begin on February 28, 2022. A completion date has been set for January 1, 2023. The City is interested in obtaining the services of a design/build firm to design and construct five (5) restrooms, with one of the five having storage and concessions. All five structures will be within Copperas Cove City Park. The City intends to award the project to a qualified design/build firm who will design and construct the work according to plans and specifications proposed by the qualified firm chosen and approved by the City pursuant to this RFQ. This request for qualifications (RFQ) is to assist in a two-phase selection process for a Design Build (DB) Firm for the City Park Restroom Facilities. The DB Firm shall provide turn-key design and construction services for five (5) restrooms, with one of the five having storage and concessions. All five structures will be within Copperas Cove City Park. Those Respondents who are short-listed, as a result of this RFQ, will be asked to provide Phase-2 Proposal. Contractor will be expected to provide a Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) when the 75% construction documents are available. All responses to the questions will be posted to online in addendum form. Contractor shall provide performance and payment bonds executed with a surety company authorized to do business in the State of Texas. These bonds will not provide coverage for the portion of the design-build contract that includes design services only. Within ten (10) days of the Effective Date of this Agreement, Design/Build Contractor shall provide a security bond in a form acceptable to the Owner in the amount of 5% of the Construction Cost amount. The City of Copperas Cove, Texas, reserves the right to reject any or all Request for Qualifications as it shall deem to be in the best interests of the City of Copperas Cove.
