The work to be constructed hereunder is located at Old Reservoir Park at 820 East Brookdale Avenue within City of La Habra, County of Orange. Typical work to be done is illustrated on plans, sketches and these specifications. The work comprises the furnishing of all materials, equipment, tools, labor and incidentals as required by the Plans, Specifications and Contract Documents for the above stated project. The general items of work to be performed hereunder consist of but not be limited to Mobilization & Demobilization; Preparation and Implementation of Storm Water Best Management Practices; Provide Construction Layout, Provide and Install Temporary construction fence with fabric screen and gate; Earthwork and Grading; Removing and relocating irrigation system; Removal of plants; Removal of asphalt pavement, Removal of existing block wall and Constructing new slump block wall; Provide hydroseed and all incidental work so indicated on the plans, specifications and tables, and required for the proposed improvements. The City of La Habra has determined that a Class "A" Contractor License or a C-29 Masonry Contractor specialty contractor license with a C-21 Building Moving/Demolition Specialty contractor license and C-12 Earthwork and Paving Contractor license is required for this project. The City of La Habra reserves the right, after opening the bids, to reject any or all bids, waive any informality or irregularity in such bids, or to award to the lowest responsible bidder and reject all other bids. Each bid must be accompanied by a certified cashier's check or by a corporate surety bond on the form furnished by the City of La Habra, as guarantee that the bidder will, if an award is made to him in accordance with the terms of his bid, promptly secure Worker's Compensation Insurance and Liability Insurance, execute the contract in the required form and furnish satisfactory bonds for the faithful performance of the contract and for the payment of claims of materialmen and workers thereunder. Said check or bidder's bond shall be in an amount of not less than ten percent (10%) of the amount of the bid. The Faithful Performance Bond shall be not less than one hundred percent (100%) of the total amount of the bid price named in the contract. The Payment Bond shall be not less than one hundred percent (100%) of the total amount of the bid price named in the contract. The City of La Habra reserves the right to reject any bond if, in the opinion of the Engineer, the Surety's acknowledgment is not in the form included in the contract documents or in another form substantially as prescribed by law.
