Site work for a water / sewer project in Cleveland, Tennessee. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
As of June 16, 2021, the project has been awarded to Hampton Backhoe Service, LLC for $300,978.50. Cleveland Utilities, Water and Wastewater Division Cleveland, Tennessee Freewill Rd/ Hensley Rd Water Main Improvements. The Project consists of constructing approximately 3,400 linear feet of 8-inch water main from the intersection of Freewill Road NW and 22nd Street NW south along Freewill Road and then west along Hensley Road to the annexed property west of 2444 Hensley Road. Bids will only be accepted from Bidders recorded on the Engineers list of purchasers of the Contract Documents, Drawings and Specifications. Bid must comply with Tennessee Code Annotated (TCA) 62-6-119. In accordance with the law, Bidder must provide evidence of compliance with the applicable provisions of this chapter before such bid may be considered. Successful Bidder must submit documentation of completion of water main installations similar size. The Owner reserves the right to waive formalities and to reject any and all Bids. It is the policy of Cleveland Utilities to ensure compliance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964; 49 CFR, Part 21; related statues and regulations to that end that no person shall be excluded from participation in or be denied benefits of or be subjected to discrimination under any program or activity receiving Federal financial assistance or any other funding source on the grounds of race, color, sex, nation origin, or ancestry. By virtue of submitting a response to this solicitation, bidder agrees to comply with the same non-discrimination policy. Bidding Documents also may be examined during business hours at Cleveland Utilities, Water and Wastewater Division, 2435 Guthrie Drive, NW, Cleveland, Tennessee 37311. Alternatively, printed Bidding Documents may be obtained from the Issuing Office either via in-person pick-up or via mail, upon Issuing Offices receipt of payment for the Bidding Documents. The non-refundable cost of printed Bidding Documents is $100.00 per set, payable to Stantec Consulting Services Inc., plus $10.00 non-refundable shipping charge if shipped by mail or delivery service. Upon Issuing Offices receipt of payment, printed Bidding Documents will be sent via the prospective Bidders delivery method of choice. The date that the Bidding Documents are transmitted by the Issuing Office will be considered the prospective Bidders date of receipt of the Bidding Documents. Partial sets of Bidding Documents will not be available from the Issuing Office. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for full or partial sets of Bidding Documents, including Addenda if any, obtained from sources other than the Issuing Office. Bids shall only be accepted from Bidders on the official list of plan holders kept by the Issuing Office. Bid security shall be furnished in accordance with Article 10 of the Instructions to Bidders. Bidders shall furnish proof of qualifications to perform the Work as described in Article 5 of the Instructions to Bidders. Time of commencement of the Work and Contract Times for completion shall be in accordance with Article 4 of the Agreement. All Bidders must be licensed contractors in compliance with the requirements of the State of Tennessee Contractors Licensing Act.
