Site work and renovation of a civil project in Concord, California. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project; and for site work for a water / sewer project.
**As of April 22, the project has been awarded with the total amount not to exceed $1,427,150.** Furnishing all labor, materials, except for those materials supplied by the District as set forth in Paragraph 01010-4.0, DISTRICT FURNISHED MATERIALS, equipment, and performing all work necessary and incidental to the construction of the project known as the Pine Hollow Reservoir 1 & 2 and Pump Station Improvements, Project Number 120042 according to drawings and specifications as prepared by the Contra Costa Water District and according to the Contract Documents. In general, the Work involves the adding a chemical feed and mixer system at one (1) reservoir, replacement of valves, grading, and safety improvements at the pump station and reservoirs. The Work includes, but is not limited to, the following: 1. The Work at Pine Hollow Reservoirs 1 & 2 and Pump Station is comprised of: a. Installation of chemical feed lines into Reservoir 1. b. Installation of mixer in Reservoir 1. c. Replacement of Reservoir 1 inlet pipe. d. Reconfiguring Reservoir 1 inlet/outlet sump. e. Replacement of twin 36-inch butterfly valve and duckbill check valve between reservoirs. f. Regrading the reservoir earthen top. g. Repairing concrete damage in Reservoir 1. h. Replacement of joint caulk in reservoirs. i. Replacement of electrical building roof. j. Replacement of surge tank. k. Installation of generator manual transfer switch. l. Replacement of gate valves at pump station vault. m. Installation of several safety improvements. 2. The Work at Gregory Gardens Tank is comprised of: a. Removal of the exterior ladder cage. b. Installation of perimeter guardrails on tank roof. 3. The Work at Kirker Pass Reservoir is comprised of installation of water quality sampling hatch. Refer to location map and Contract Drawings for information about project location. Project is to be completed within four hundred and twenty-two (422) consecutive days from the date specified in the Notice to Proceed. Time for commencement and completion of the Work is important, and is to be of the essence of the Contract.
