Site work and paving for a transportation facility in Salt Lake City, Utah. Completed plans call for site work for a transportation facility; and for paving for a transportation facility.
The project will consist of replacing the centerline panels on Taxiway G between Taxiway S and the 16L deicing pad at the Salt Lake City International Airport. This project is a continuing phase to maintain the Airport's infrastructure. The project will consist of replacing the centerline panels on Taxiway G between Taxiway S and the 16L deicing pad, Work will include demolition of existing concrete pavement and econocrete base, unclassified excavation, placement of engineered fill, placement of new econocrete base course and Portland Cement Concrete. Also included is pavement marking and reinstalling in-pavement centerline lights complete with new underground cabling and connectors. A bid bond or cashier's check in a form acceptable to the City and in an amount equal to at least five percent (5%) of the total amount of the Bid will be required on each Bid. Bid bonds/checks will be returned to unsuccessful bidders after tabulation and award of the contract. Bidders on this Work will be subject to the applicable provisions of all Federal laws, rules, regulations, or orders. The proposed contract is under and subject to Executive order 11246 of 24 September 1965, as amended, and to the equal opportunity clause and the Standard Federal Equal Employment Opportunity Construction Contract Specifications including the goals and timetables for minority and female participation. This Contract will be awarded in compliance with the City Building Improvement or Public Works Projects procurement code requirements which take into account certain factorsin the bidder's work environment. For more information please see Salt Lake City Code Section 3.24.115 Bidders on this project will be required to certify that Bidder and all subcontractors of Bidder with a subcontract value of $1,000,000 or more at the original execution of the subcontract, if any, working on the project have and will maintain for the duration of the contract an offer of qualified health insurance in compliance with Salt Lake City Code Section 3.24.115. Bidders on this project will be required to certify that Bidder and every subcontractor, if any, has and will maintain, throughout the duration of this project, the following five (5) policies and programs as defined in Salt Lake City Code Section 3.24.115: 1. A drug and alcohol testing policy; 2. A program to actively recruit and/or employ Veterans; 3. A job training program; 4. A safety program; 5. A formal policy of non-discrimination consistent with federal, state and local law. SLC project number 54 1019 1780 Contract number 54-2-21-3048 Bidders on this project will be required to certify that Bidder and every subcontractor, if any, has and will maintain, throughout the duration of this project, the following five (5) policies and programs as defined in Salt Lake City Code Section 3.24.115: 1.
