The Greenwood Wastewater Treatment Plant was originally constructed in 1957 and is located adjacent to La Volla Creek at the intersection of Greenwood Drive and Saratoga Boulevard. Problems concerning wastewater overflows and flooding in neighboring areas have led to the need for flood mitigation improvements. The objective of this project is to construct cost-efficient flood proofing improvements to eliminate Oso Creek / La Volla Creek flooding impacts on Greenwood Wastewater Treatment Plant with consideration of Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) Flood Insurance Rate Maps (FIRMs). The anticipated project scope for the consultant engineer includes preliminary design for determining appropriate flood proofing improvements, detailed design, development of construction documents, and construction phase services. As of November 14, 2022, this project is currently in the FY 2023-2025 CIP . Funding for this project is allotted in the city's capital improvement plan for construction Fy 2025. A firm timeline has not been established; however, construction is scheduled for Fiscal Year 2025. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP).
