Renovation of an educational facility in Seattle, Washington. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
The Work includes, but is not limited to: Adding and recircuiting receptacles in existing classrooms and replacement of electrical panels to support the additional circuits. Certified check, bank cashiers check, or bid bond is required with each Bid, equal to 5% of the total Base Bid only. Make checks payable to the Renton School District; furnish bond executed by a licensed bonding agency authorized to do business in the locality of the project. It is the responsibility of the bidder to go online to the L&I web page https://www.lni.wa.gov/licensing-permits/public-works-projects/prevailing-wage-rates/ to verify they have the most current prevailing wages at time of bid. A mandatory minimum 15% apprentice labor hours of the total labor hours are a requirement of the construction contract. Bidders may contact the Department of Labor & Industries, Apprenticeship Section, to obtain information on available apprenticeship programs. The Owner reserves the right to accept the lowest or any other Bid, the right to reject any or all Bids, and the right to waive any irregularities in any Bid. No Bid may be withdrawn, except with the express permission of the Owner, after the time set for the opening thereof, unless the award of Contract is delayed for a period exceeding 45 days. Project Schedule 1. Anticipated Notice of Award: On or about April 13, 2021 2. Receipt of COI and Bonds Within ten days following Notice of Award 3. Anticipated Notice to Proceed: Subject to receipt acceptance of COI and Bonds 4. Commence Work On-Site: June 24, 2021 5. Substantial Completion: August 31, 2021 6. Final Completion: 45 calendar days after Substantial Completion payment and performance bonds pursuant to RCW 39.08 in the amount of the Contract Sum plus sales tax.
