Modernization of CTS Spaces within George McDougall High School. Modernization of the CTS Foods lab which includes 6 new cooking stations, new location of stacked washer/ dryer, new millwork cubbies for student bag storage and new finishes throughout. Modernization of the CTS Fashion/ Cosmetology includes demolition of existing office and relocation of the Cosmetology chairs/ stations into the old office space. Addition of full height millwork for sewing machine storage. Removal of old sewing machine desks and new desks to create a multi-functional/ flexible teaching space. Modernization of the Industrial Arts Classroom to include an updated Construction (Woods) and a defined Welding space. Welding to be separated from construction with new wall and to include 6 welding booths. Construction to receive new equipment layout and storage area. Create a defined separation between the Construction lab and the maker space through the inclusion of a new Breakout room and new office. Remove existing smaller rooms within the Industrial Arts space to allow for increased Maker Space classroom. Existing storage mezzanine above construction/ welding to be repurposed to a new classroom space. Existing outdoor education classroom (located above new maker space) to be relocated to main floor adjacent to the courtyard. Space to be repurposed to a multipurpose computer lab. New lift to be incorporated with the Construction classroom to allow for barrier free access to the mezzanine classrooms c/w catwalk/ bridge. New outdoor education classroom to receive new millwork and to convert adjacent storage room into wet room with overhead door opening to courtyard, floor drain, and hose bib.
