Site work for a civil project in Steamboat Springs, Colorado. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel; and road / highway.

The purpose of this Invitation for Bid (IFB) and accompanying construction documents are to provide instructions and assistance in submitting a bid response to provide reconstruction of approximately 100 feet of roadway, the replacement of the Middle Cow Creek Culvert, sub grade construction, erosion and sediment control, culvert removal, rip rap and other miscellaneous roadway improvements. Please see scope of work for further detail. The objective is to have a fully executed contract by May 14, 2021 with construction completed by October 25, 2021. Reconstruction of approximately 100 feet of roadway, the replacement of Middle Cow Creek Culvert, traffic control, sub grade construction, erosion and sediment control, existing culvert removal, rip rap and other miscellaneous roadway improvements. At least one lane of traffic must be maintained at all times. The County will allow closure of the road with the written permission of the adjacent landowners to do so. Nighttime and weekend work will only be allowed with written permission from the Road and Bridge Director. All construction shall conform to the Routt County Road and Bridge Department construction standards. 2011 Colorado Department of Transportation Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction and 2012 M & S Standards are to be used when County standards are not available. The contractor shall be responsible for obtaining their own copy of the most recent CDOT Standards The culverts are located along CR 33, south of the intersection of with CR 33A and north of the intersection of CR 33 and CR 4 in Routt County, Colorado. Culvert Crossing #1 is located approximately 0.1 miles south of the intersection of CR 33A and CR 33. This culvert is cantilevered and currently has a moderate to high degree of erosion and scour on the downstream side of the culvert. Natural topography in this area is generally gently rolling, with steep banks on the sides of the creek and the west side of the road. Vegetation includes cottonwood trees, grasses and weeds. Culvert Crossing #2 is located less than approximately 0.6 miles south of the intersection of CR 33A and CR 33. Two culverts exist at this crossing. Topography is fairly flat in this area with moderate slopes on the sides of Cow Creek. Vegetation at this area generally consists of native grasses and weeds. Culvert Crossing #3 is located approximately 0.5 miles south of Culvert #2. Topography in this area is fairly flat, and there appears to be a relatively wide flood plain extending from the banks of Cow Creek. Routt County Board of County Commissioners (BCC) reserves the right to reject any or all bid responses and to waive informalities and minor irregularities in bid responses received, and to accept any portion of the bid response that is deemed to be in the best interest of Routt County.
