Remove Watermain, 340 LF; Remove and Replace Hydrants with Valves, 36 EA; Remove and Replace Valves, 32 EA; Concrete Curb, 31,000 LF; 6" Concrete Driveway Apron, 8,000 SF; Bituminous Non / Wear Course, 9,000 TON; Reclaim Bituminous Surface, 50,600 SY; Street Signs, 111 EA; New Storm Sewer Structures, 25 EA; Storm Sewer Pipe, 480 LF; Temporary Mailbox, 280 EA; and other necessary appurtenances. This Article covers the installation and repair of the sanitary sewers and storm drains as called for in the Contract Documents. The Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, tools, equipment, and supplies necessary for and reasonably incidental to the construction required under this section. The Contractor shall load, unload, haul, and distribute all materials, tools, equipment, supplies, and accessories necessary for the work under this contract. The Contractor shall remove any street surfacing as required: excavate the trenches and pits to the required dimensions; sheet, brace, and support the adjoining ground or structures where necessary; handle all drainage or groundwater; provide barricades, guards, and warning lights; lay and test the pipe, castings, fittings, manholes and accessories; backfill and consolidate the trenches and pits; maintain the street or other surface over the trench until surface restoration; restore the roadway surface unless otherwise stipulated; remove surplus excavated material; and clean the site of the work. The Contractor shall supply at least one Porta Potty unit at an accessible location within the project limits. The Porta Potty unit shall also be made available to residents or businesses affected by temporary water shut offs as needed during construction and at locations directed by the Engineer. Payment for Porta Potty units used on the project, and any necessary relocations to accommodate requests from residents and businesses during temporary water shut offs, shall be considered incidental. The Contractor shall also furnish all equipment, tools, labor, and materials required to re-arrange sewers, conduits, ducts, pipes, or other structures encountered in the installation of the work. All the above work to completely construct the sewer facilities shall be done in strict accordance with the plans and specifications prepared for the purpose by the City of Coon Rapids Engineering Division, 11155 Robinson Drive, Coon Rapids, Minnesota 55433.
