The Vermilion Housing Authority (VHA) is inviting sealed Bid Proposals from interested and qualified parties for the Fair Oaks Water & Sanitary Relocation in Danville, IL, generally including all labor, supervision, materials, supplies, transportation, equipment and services necessary and required as set forth in the Contract Documents. All bids must be accompanied by a negotiable bid guarantee not less than five percent (5%) of the amount of the bid in accordance to Clause 9 Bid Guarantee of the Instructions to Bidders. The bid guarantee shall be a certified check or bank draft payable to the order of the Vermilion Housing Authority or a satisfactory Bid Bond executed by the Bidder and an acceptable surety. The bid guarantee shall ensure the execution of the contract and furnishing of a method of assurance of completion. Failure to submit bid guarantee with the bid shall result in rejection of the bid. In accordance with Clause 10 Assurance of Completion of the Instructions to Bidders, and prior to the execution of any contract, the successful bidder is required to furnish and pay for satisfactory performance and payment bond or bonds in a penal sum of 100 percent of the contract price. The Vermilion Housing Authority intends to award one contract on the basis of lowest and most responsive and responsible bid for all work to be performed. The successful bidder must be prepared to begin work immediately upon notification of award. The Vermilion Housing Authority reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informality in the bidding process. No bid shall be withdrawn for a period of sixty days (60) subsequent to the opening of bids without the consent of the VHA.
