SCOPE OF WORK: The work consists of furnishing and paying for all labor, tools, equipment, and materials necessary for the installation of approximately 2,168 linear feet of 8-foot high, expanded metal fencing systems and appurtenances, all in accordance with the plans and specifications, in place complete. 2. CONSTRUCTION COST: The estimated construction cost is $1,200,000.00. Security Fencing Improvements at Koko Head 170 Reservoir and Booster Pump Station, Halawa 418 Reservoir, and Luluku Well. A certificate of deposit; credit union share certificate; or cashier's, treasurer's, teller's, or official check drawn by, or a certified check accepted by a bank, a savings institution, or credit union insured bythe Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation or the National Credit Union Administration, and payable at sight or unconditionally assigned to the BWS. These instruments may be utilized only to a maximum of $100,000. If the required security amount totals over $100,000, more than one (1) instrument not exceeding $100,000 each and issued by different financial institutions shall be accepted. Contract performance and payment bond forms shall be those specified inthe General Conditions. In addition to any other basis identified herein or in the Contract, the Contracting Officer reserves the right to refuse to accept any bid or to reject any bid received from any bidder for any of the following reasons: 1. The bidder that submitted the bid is non-responsible; 2. The bid is not responsive, i.e. it does not conform in all materialrespects to the Invitation for Bids; 3. The construction item offered in the bid is unacceptable by reason of its failure to meet the requirements of the specifications or permissible alternates or other acceptability criteria set forth in the Invitation forBids; 4. Conditioning Bids Upon Other Awards. The bid is conditioned upon receiving award of both the particular contract being solicited and another BWS contract;
