Description: Maine Federal Aid Project No. 2492300 WIN 24923.00 WIN 24923.00 for Pavement Milling and Ultra-Thin Bonded Wearing Course in the City of Caribou and Towns of Woodland & New Sweden, County of Aroostook, Maine. Location: In Aroostook County, project is located on Route 161 beginning in Caribou at the south junction of US Route1 and extending northwest 9.80 miles to 0.08 of a mile southeast of the Station Road. Outline of Work: Pavement Milling, and Ultra-Thin Bonded Wearing Course, and other incidental work. Questions received after 12:00 noon of Monday (or if that Monday is a state holiday, Friday) prior to bid date will not be answered. Bidders shall not contact any other Departmental staff for clarification of Contract provisions, and the Department will not be responsible for any interpretations so obtained. Each Bid must be made upon biank forms provided by the Department and must be accompanied by a bid bond at 5% of the bid amount or an official bank check, cashier's check, certified check. certificate of deposit. or United States postal money order in the amount of $70,000 payable to Treasurer, State of Maine as a Bid guarantee. A Contract Performance Surety Bond and a Contact Payment Surety Bond, each in the amount of 100 percent of the Contract price, will be required of the successful Bidder. This Contract is subject to all applicable Federal Laws. This contract is subject to compliance with the Disadvantaged Business Enterprise program requirements as set forth by the Maine Department of Transportation. The right is hereby reserved to the MaineDOT to reject any or all bids.
