The Project includes the following Work: Upgrading two (2) booster pump stations in Caribou, Maine. Includes demolition of existing doghouse roofs, construction of new buildings on existing foundations, new pumps, valves, piping, electrical and controls for the stations. Bids are requested for the following Contract: [Booster Pump Stations Upgrade Project #48603] Owner anticipates that the Project's total bid price will be approximately $[500,000]. The Project has an expected duration of [180] days or less for final completion. Contract Time will not commence to run until materials can be obtained. Some provisions that apply to this Contract include the following: American Iron and Steel Section 746 of Title VII of the Consolidated Appropriations Act of 2017 (Division A - Agriculture, Rural Development, Food and Drug Administration, and Related Agencies Appropriations Act, 2017) and subsequent statutes mandating domestic preference applies an American Iron and Steel requirement to this project. All iron and steel products used in this project must be produced in the United States. The term "iron and steel products" means the following products made primarily of iron or steel: lined or unlined pipes and fittings, manhole covers and other municipal castings, hydrants, tanks, flanges, pipe clamps and restraints, valves, structural steel, reinforced precast concrete, and Construction Materials. The following waivers apply to this Contract: De Minimis, Minor Components, Pig iron and direct reduced iron, and [add project specific waivers as applicable]. Disadvantaged Business Enterprise Requirements Each Bidder shall take special notice of the Guidance for use of Disadvantaged Business Enterprise in the DWSRF Supplemental General Conditions. Failure to complete these requirements may result in finding that the Bidder is nonresponsive and therefore, not eligible to be awarded this contract.
