Site work for a road / highway in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway.
The project consists of the replacement of cast iron sluice gates (FG-016-2-1 and FG-016-2-2) and existing electric actuators at Structure DC0101. The gates shall be replaced consecutively, not concurrently, per the requirements of Section 01311 - SCHEDULE AND SEQUENCE OF OPERATIONS. In addition to the gate and actuator replacements, the scope of work also includes removal of the ladder cages surrounding the two (2) access ladders to the western chamber and the one (1) ladder cage accessing the eastern chamber. The project consists of replacement of the existing cast iron sluice gates (FG-016-2-1 and FG-016-2-2) and electric actuators at site DC0101, located at the intersection of South 27 th Street and West Howard Avenue in the City of Milwaukee. These gates can divert flows to either Jones Island (JIWRF) or South Shore Water Reclamation Facilities (SSWRF), depending upon which gate is open. FG-016-2-1 directs flow to SSWRF through a 48-inch MIS and FG-016-2-2 directs flow to JIWRF through a 39-inch Special Section (SS) MIS. Site details and gate layout information is shown on the Record Drawings, included in Special Attachment 12. P&ID and SCADA information is included in Special Attachment 13. In addition to the gate and actuator replacements, the scope of work also includes removal of the ladder cages surrounding the two (2) access ladders to the western chamber and the one (1) ladder cage accessing the eastern chamber. Work covered by these Contract Documents in general covers the construction in the following facilities
