Site work and paving for a transportation facility in Norwood, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for site work for a transportation facility; and for paving for a transportation facility.

A certified check or bid bond in an amount not less that 5% of the bid price for the Contract work will be required from each bidder. The bid security, made payable to Town of Norwood, shall be as described under INSTRUCTION TO BIDDERS. A performance bond and payment bond in the amount of 100% of the award amount shall be submitted by the successful bidder within 10 calendar days of the award. The proposed development to be accomplished under this Contract will be subject to the Federal Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) requirements of 41 CFR Part 60 and Title VI of the Civil Rights Act; the Commonwealth of Massachusetts EEO, Anti-Discrimination and Affirmative Action Programs; and the Town of Norwood Affirmative Action Plan and Disadvantaged Business Enterprise Plan set aside for this work. All Federal, State and local DBE/MBE/WBE forms and documentation must be submitted with the bid. SOMWBA Certification of DBE's is a requirement. Assurance and/or Certification statements of the Bidder as provided in the bid documents must be executed (signed) and submitted at the time of the bid opening. These certifications are intended to satisfy the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), Massachusetts Department of Transportation - Aeronautics Division (MassDOT), and Town laws relative to the nonsegregation, non-discrimination, and DBE practices. Bidders on this work will be required to comply with the President's Executive Orders No. 11246, 10925, 11114 and any amendments or supplements to those Executive Orders to ensure equal employment opportunity. Bidders will be expected to comply with DBE requirements of 49CRF part 23. The requirements for bidders and contractors under this order are explained in the contract documents. Bidders will be expected to comply with DBE requirements of 49CRF part 23. The requirements for bidders and contractors under this order are explained in the contract documents. Attention of bidders, is particularly called to the requirements as to conditions of employment, the minimum wage rates to be paid under this contract and to procedures under the appropriate sections, as amended, of the General Laws of Massachusetts and the Federal Government. The successful bidder shall be required to submit documentation that all employees to be employed in the work subject to this bid have successfully completed a course in construction safety and health approved by the United States Occupational Safety and Health Administration that is at least 10 hours in duration. Any employee found on a worksite subject to this section without documentation of successful completion of a course in construction safety and health approved by the United States Occupational Safety and Health Administration that is at least 10 hours in duration shall be subject to immediate removal. The Norwood Memorial Airport Commission reserves the right to waive any informalities or to reject any or all bids, or to accept any other than the lowest bidder, should it be deemed to be in the best interest of the Commission to do so. No bidder may withdraw his/her bid within ninety (180) days after actual date of the bid opening.
