As of March 10, 2023, a general contractor has been awarded. *The closed solicitation has been included below for reference: The South Dakota Department of the Military, on behalf of the South Dakota Army National Guard, Construction and Facilities Management Office, is soliciting Statements of Interest from firms interested in providing professional Architectural and Engineering design services for the 466472 - Replace HVAC - Mitchell Armory project located at 5501 Airport Road, Mitchell, South Dakota 57301. This project will involve site investigative, design development, and bidding services to perform investigative load assessment. Sustainment scope to include: replacing rooftop units 4, 5, 6, and 7; add rooftop units 1, 2, and 3; replace air handlers 1 and 2; replace pumps, replace 2 boilers, replace controller, replace distribution panel, replace diffusers & pressure sensors; install new gas and electrical supply; perform testing and balancing. Additional services such as construction administration/inspection will be negotiated at a later date should the project proceed to the construction phase. Anticipated project timeline is as follows: Complete By: Schematic Design/Site Investigation Phase June 11, 2021 35% Design Due July 30, 2021 65% Design Due August 27, 2021 95% Design Due September 24, 2021 Firms desiring to be considered for providing professional services for this project should send a Statement of Interest that outlines their qualifications and experience for this project. Statements of Interest should clearly address each of the following criteria: 1. Project approach and methodology to meet the project requirements (8%); 2. Project teams specialized expertise, capabilities, and technical competence to meet the project requirements (8%); 3. Ability and proven history in handling special project constraints (Scope, Time and Cost) (15%). 4. Proposed project management techniques. (8%); 5. Availability to the project locale (8%); 6. Familiarity with the project facility (7%); 7. Proposed QA/QC process for development on construction plans and verifying owner requirements are met (8%) 8. Proven knowledge of all State of South Dakota adopted codes, National Guard Bureau Design Guides, Unified Facilities Criteria, etc. and the ability to integrate such codes, regulations, standards, and criteria into the construction plans and technical specifications.
