Site work and paving for a road / highway in Mitchell, South Dakota. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
As of April 8, 2022, project was awarded to Menning Excavating, Inc., awarded amount is $2,644,419.47. The Project consists of utility and surfacing construction including sanitary sewer, water main, and storm sewer reconstruction as well as surfacing reconstruction including asphalt paving, sidewalks, driveways, and other corresponding construction items on 9th Avenue from Sanborn Boulevard to Lawler Street and 5th Avenue from Sanborn Boulevard to Main Street. Bids will be received for a single prime Contract. Bids shall be on a lump sum and unit price basis, as indicated in the Bid Form. Bid security shall be furnished in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. Pursuant to State Law, a copy of the bidder's sales and use tax license and a copy of the bidder's excise tax license as issued by the State of South Dakota must accompany the bid. In lieu of a copy of the license, the bidder shall submit appropriate evidence that the bidder and all affiliates have the appropriate licenses. The City of Mitchell reserves the right to waive any informalities or to reject any or all bids. The Work will be substantially completed on or before October 15, 2022, and completed and ready for final payment in accordance with Paragraph 15.06 of the General Conditions on or before November 15th 2022.
