The City of Salem is seeking bids from qualified Contractors to remove and dispose approximately 6,000 tons of municipal Leaves and brush materials temporarily stored at the City's facility at 12 Swampscott Road. Salem, Massachusetts, there is also approx. 6,000 tons of log and wood waste debris which will consist of brush, butts, and stumps. The undersigned certifies under penalties of perjury that this bid or proposal has been made and submitted in good faith and without collusion or fraud with any other person. As used in this certification, the word "person" shall mean any natural person, business, partnership, corporation, union, committee, club, or other organization, entity, or group of individuals. Questions concerning this Invitation for Bids must be submitted in writing to: Tom Watkins at twatkins@salem.com at least five (5) days prior to the bid opening date. Written responses will be mailed to all bidders on record as having picked up the Invitation for Bids. The Invitation for Bids shall be available beginning, March 22, 2021. The performance period for any contract that results from this Invitation for Bids shall commence as soon as a notice to proceed has been issued and completed by April 16th, 2021 and running until December 31st, 2021. The city reserves the right to extend this contract with two (1) year extension April 1st 22- December 31st,22 and April 1st ,23 - December 31st ,23. The City reserves the right to cancel this Invitation for Bids or reject in whole or in part any and all bids if the City determines that cancellation or rejection serves the best interests of the City.
