Renovation of a mixed-use development in San Francisco, California. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 3,100-square-foot warehouse / distribution facility; and municipal facility.

A timeline for award has not yet been established.** This Project is subject to compliance monitoring and enforcement of prevailing wage requirements by the California Department of Industrial Relations ("DIR") and the San Francisco Office of Labor Standards Enforcement. No contractor or subcontractor may be listed in a bid for a public works project and no contractor or subcontractor may be awarded a contract for public work on a public works project unless registered with the DIR per California Labor Code Section 1725.5 [with limited exceptions from this requirement for bid purposes only under California Labor Code Section 1771.1(a)]. The objective of the project is to create a 3,100 sq. ft tenant improvement in an existing warehouse. The site is located in the SFPUC City Distribution Division's corporation yard at 1990 Newcomb Avenue. The existing office space will be modified. Work includes partitions, cabinetry, restrooms, new flooring, new ceilings, new mechanical, plumbing modifications, new electrical, hazardous material remediation, fire suppression systems, and exterior ADA parking, ramp, and railing. The work is to be performed in San Francisco, California. The Engineer's estimate is $1,400,000.00. The contract will be awarded to the responsible Bidder submitting the lowest responsive bid. Bid discounts may be applied as per San Francisco Administrative Code Chapter 14B. The LBE Subcontracting Participation Requirement is 20.00% and ONLY San Francisco (Local) Small & Micro-LBEs can be utilized to meet this requirement (Firms certified by SF Contract Monitoring Division). SFPUC-LBEs cannot be utilized to meet the 20.00% LBE Subcontracting Participation Requirement. Please contact Linda Rainaldi at (415) 754-3227 for further information. Subcontracting opportunities may include, but not limited, to the following major types of work: Mechanical, Plumbing, Electrical, and Fire Suppression Systems. SFPUC encourages Bidders to submit a Safety Prequalification Form at least 3-weeks prior to the date of Bid opening. Bidders are required to pass the Safety Prequalification prior to SFPUC considering their bid submission complete. SFPUC will notify Bidders who have passed the Safety Prequalification prior to or on the date of Bid opening. Refer to Section 00 21 13 - Instructions to Bidders, "Bidder Qualifications" and Section 00 45 12 - Safety Prequalification for additional information. A Class "B" California Contractors License is required to bid. Furthermore, each listed subcontractor must possess appropriate active licenses for the work each subcontractor will be performing.
