As of May 28, 2021 the contract for DD101 was awarded to McCarty Custom, Inc on 5/4 for $118,558.25. The start and completion date has not yet been determined. Cleanout of approximately 11,200 feet of open ditch. Excavation of 22,106 CY of sediment. With installation of surface drain pipe and tile extension. Tree removal, spoil leveling, topload and haul, riprap installation, fertilizing and seeding of open ditch Removal, disposal and cleanup of trees, stumps, logs, down-timber, hedges, shrubs, brush, herbaceous vegetation and rubbish within the work limits as per instructions on drawings, and/or chemical treatment of cut stumps. All work to be done in accordance with these specifications and the requirements of State of Iowa and OSHA Standards. All work to be confined within work limits unless otherwise stated herein or on the drawings. Engineer will mark the work limits prior to execution of work. Protect all property outside the established work limits. Protect all crops remaining within the work limits, except those that interfere with proper prosecution of the work. Open Ditch Excavation: Includes sloping, shaping, removal and disposal of material from open ditch and surface channels to reconstruct ditch bottom and side slopes. Spoil Bank Leveling: Includes disposal, leveling, shaping and cleanup of excavated spoil to conform to plan requirements. Includes removal and disposal of fence as directed by Engineer. Includes repair of over bank washouts as noted on the plans or directed by the Engineer.
