**As of June 3, 2021, the project has been awarded but award amount was not confirmed and the construction start date is later this month and completion date has not yet been established.** This project involves the construction of soldier pile retaining wall with tieback anchors, midwest guardrail system, reconstructed roadway, erosion control and revegetation. The successful bidder shall furnish a payment bond and a performance bond. The Contractor shall possess a Class A license at the time that this contract is awarded. See map, Figure 1, in the BA The storm damage road repair work includes clearing and grubbing of the work area, constructing a 38-foot long pier and lagging retaining wall (with tiebacks and underdrain), installing approximately 165 square feet of soil-covered rock slope protection (RSP) at the toe of the slope, backfilling the slope, new pavement, and erosion control and revegetation. Construction staging will be within the existing roadway and in nearby existing roadway pullout areas. The work area encompasses approximately 1,000 square feet. Contractor will furnish labor, equipment, tools and materials necessary for site work and construction of a timber lagging soldier pile retaining wall with tiebacks, midwest guardrail system, reconstructed roadway, erosion control and revegetation. The Contractor shall include in its bid and provide labor, tools, equipment, and materials for a complete and working project in conformance with the intent shown on the drawings and specified herein and as provided for and set forth in said plans, special provisions, and any addendum that may be issued prior to the date of bid, or in either of them, which said plans and special provisions are hereby referred to by such reference, incorporated herein, and made a part of this Contract Work includes storm damage repair project.
