Renovation of a mixed-use development in Fillmore, California. Completed plans call for the renovation of a swimming pool.
As of January 06th, 2023, project has not been awarded. it is expected the project will be awarded sometime after the 24th of this month. The work to be done consists of furnishing all materials, equipment, tools, labor, and incidentals as required in the Plans, Specifications and Contract documents for said project for the removal/demolition of select tile and plaster finish and other miscellaneous items as shown on the Plans for the Fillmore Aquatic Center Pool. The work will take place at 575 First Street, Fillmore, California, and other related work as described in the Specifications and Contract Documents, by reference, made a part hereof. This project is subject to compliance monitoring and enforcement by the Department of Industrial Relations. All in accordance with the plans, specifications, and other contract documents on file in the Public Works Department of the City of Fillmore California. All work to be done under this contract shall be completed within Sixty-five (65) consecutive working days, exclusive of maintenance periods, beginning on the date stipulated in the written "Notice to Proceed" to be issued by the Engineer. Liquidated damages of $250 per consecutive calendar day will apply to this project. Bids must be accompanied by cash, or by cashier's or certified check made payable to the City of Fillmore, or by a bid bond executed by an admitted surety insurer on the bond form provided herein, in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the amount of bid price, made payable to the City of Fillmore as a guarantee that the bidder, whose bid is accepted, will promptly execute the contract, secure payment of workers' compensation insurance, and furnish a satisfactory faithful performance bond in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the total bid price and a A-3 payment bond (labor and material bond) in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the total bid price which complies with all of the requirements of Civil Code Section 9554. All bid questions shall be submitted through the online portal for the benefit of all proposed bidders. The questions shall be submitted by 5:00 P.M. Thursday on December 1, 2022 . All work to be done under this contract shall be completed within Sixty-five (65) consecutive working days, exclusive of maintenance periods, beginning on the date stipulated in the written "Notice to Proceed" to be issued by the Engineer. At the time of "Award of the Contract", the Prime Contractor must have a valid California State Contractor's License with a classification of "C-53" and/or "B" in accordance with provisions of Chapter 9, Division 111, Sections 7000 through 7145 of the Business and Professions Code of the State of California and the Prime Contractor shall warrant that it and all subcontractors are properly licensed, which includes each entity having a local business license. The City reserves the right to reject any and all bids or to waive any irregularities or informalities in any bids or in the bidding, should it deem this necessary for the public good, and also the bid of the bidder who has been delinquent or unfaithful in any former contract with the City of Fillmore. No bidder may withdraw his or her bid for a period of sixty (60) days after the date from the opening thereof.
