Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in New Brighton, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project; sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot.

The Project includes the following Work: Stabilization of the fishing pier support structure via clearing and grubbing vegetation and the use of secured grout bags in the area where rock support has washed out; replacement of the rock rip rap in the eroded area behind the fishing pier - new rip rap shall be grouted in place; installation of a wedge curb along the boat launch drive (river side); installation of a single course, large block retaining wall along the boat launch drive (New Brighton Borough side); clearing and grubbing of vegetation and replacement of stone rip rap (not grouted) in the storm drainage pipe area; and removal and replacement of the asphalt walkway. For all further requirements regarding bid submittal, bid security, qualifications, procedures, and contract award, refer to the Instructions to Bidders that are included in the Bidding Documents. Attention is called to the fact that prevailing minimum wage rates as determined by the Secretary of the Department of Labor and Industry must be paid by the Contractors on this project and that employees and applicants for employment shall not be discriminated against because of their race, age, color, religion, sex, national origin, or handicap. Each Bidder is required to meet the requirements of Public Works Employment Verification Act, Act 127 of 2012. Any and all steel products used or supplied in the performance of the contract or any subcontracts shall be from steel made in the United States. The Owner hereby reserves the right, which is understood and agreed to by all bidders, to refuse and reject any or all bids submitted, and also reserves the right to waive any informality in bids received. Except as otherwise provided by law, no bidder may withdraw its bid for sixty (60) days after the Bid Due Date, unless the contract award is delayed by a required approval of another government agency, the sale of bonds, or the award of a grant or grants, in which case the Bids shall remain open to acceptance and shall be irrevocable for a period of one hundred twenty (120) days after the Bid Due Date. Clarification Deadline 5/6/2021 4:00 Pm Project Estimate: $40,000 - $50,000 The Work will be substantially complete within 90 days after the date when the Contract Times commence to run as provided in Paragraph 4.01 of the General Conditions, and completed and ready for final payment in accordance with Paragraph 15.06 of the General Conditions within 120 days after the date when the Contract Times commence to run.
