EPV: $4,500,000 and $5,000,000. 1. Project Description The work includes, but is not limited to: a. Replacement of pavement striping, markings, and markers; and b. Grinding and overlay of asphalt pavement; and c. Traffic control; and d. Completing all appurtenant work in place and ready for public use, all as shown in these Special Provisions and other Contract Documents on file in the Public Works Department, to which reference is hereby made for further particulars. 2. Location of Work See the project plans for the various locations of the work, which are located throughout the City of Benicia, California. 4. Pre-Bid Meeting A pre-bid meeting is not scheduled. 5. Working Days The Contractor shall complete all the work within seventy-five (75) Working Days from the beginning date specified in the Notice to Proceed. 6. Schedule This is a fast-paced project. The work is planned around the Benicia Unified School District calendar and shall start no earlier than Monday, June 7, 2021. The Contractor shall submit traffic/pedes-trian control plans and a construction street schedule to the Engineer within five (5) calendar days after receipt of Notice of Award from the City. Bid Security Bidders shall submit a completed Bond Accompanying Bid form as provided for in the Special Provisions accompanied by a cashier's check, certified check (certified without qualification and drawn on a solvent bank of the State of California or a National Bank doing business in the State of California) or completed Bond Accompanying Bid form of not less than 10% of the Base Bid, payable to the City. The City of Benicia specifically reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to reject any or all Bids, to re-bid, or to waive inconsequential defects in bidding not involving time, price or quality of the work. The City of Benicia may reject any and all Bids and waive any minor irregularities in the Bids. License A California Class A - General Engineering Contractor contractor's license is required to bid this contract.
