Site work and paving for a road / highway in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Conceptual plans call for site work for a road / highway.
This project proposes to enhance pedestrian and potentially bicycle mobility as well as provide drainage and signalized intersection improvements along Claycut Rd. between S. Foster Dr. and Jefferson Hwy. This project will also improve pedestrian and potentially bicycle access to residential homes, apartments and Westdale Middle School. The MOVEBR Transportation and Infrastructure Improvements Program is the most significant transportation infrastructure investment in East Baton Rouge Parish history. The 1/2 cent sales tax proposition was approved by the voters of East Baton Rouge Parish on December 8, 2018. The tax became effective on April 1, 2019 and will continue for 30 years until March 31, 2049. As of December 10, 2021, this project is in the planning phase based on prioritization.
