Site work and paving for a bridge / tunnel in Ottawa, Ontario. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel; and for paving for a bridge / tunnel.
Rehabilitation of the Union Bridge and widening of the Hull Causeway. Public Works and Government Services Canada (PWGSC) will undertake repair work on the Chaudière Crossing. The scope of this terms of reference is limited to the widening of the Hull Causeway (Gatineau, QC) and the rehabilitation of the Union Bridge (Ottawa, ON). Construction work includes performing the work listed in Division 1 and other non-specialized tasks when approved by the Departmental Representative. 1- general repairs and rehabilitation of the Union Bridge located on the Chaudière Crossing between Ottawa (ON) and Gatineau (QC); in particular the structural rehabilitation of the bridge and its approaches as well as the installation of new district heating pipes on the bridge; 2- the widening of the Hull causeway, located on the Chaudière Crossing between Ottawa (ON) and Gatineau (QC); in particular the widening of the bridge and its approaches as well as the installation of new main water pipes and sanitary sewer pipes for Hydro-Quebec, Bell Canada and Portage Power. TIMELINE: Contract for Construction Management services to oversee the project has been awarded. Sequential tendering is underway. *Government of Canada awarded a contract of 24.6 million (taxes included).
