The work under this Project includes removal of the existing ballasted EPDM roofing system and associated tapered insulation system. Removal of the existing system will also include removal of metal coping, gutters, downspouts, roof curbs, penetrations and minor equipment that are no longer in use. Operational Package HVAC Units are to remain in place. The new roof system will consist of an adhered KEE PVC roof membrane over a tapered insulation system, and will include new aluminum copings, gutters, downspouts, and other metal concrete wall cap elements will be cleaned and joints will be re-sealed, and shall include, but not be limited to completing all required site work; furnishing of all materials, labor, supervision, tools, transportation, daily cleanup of the site at the end of the workday, proper disposal of waste materials, maintenance of strict safety precautions, adherence to environmental regulations, and other miscellaneous appurtenances and work necessary to complete the project. Bid Security in the amount of Five percent (5%) of the Bid shall be submitted with each Bid. Performance and payment bonds for one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract will be required by the Owner prior to Contract Award. The cost of bonds is to be included with the bid price.
