For Road Improvements consisting of approximately 4.85 miles of roadway improvements consisting of asphalt concrete paving, asphalt concrete patching, cement soil stabilization, drainage pipe replacement and other associated work, including all necessary labor, materials, equipment, tools, etc., required as set forth in the Bid Documents of Morgan Goudeau & Associates, Inc. for Parish Wide Road Improvements for the St. Landry Parish Government. Bid Documents are available and may be seen and examined at the St. Landry Parish Government Office, Opelousas, Louisiana, or at the office of Morgan Goudeau & Associates, Inc., Consulting Engineers, Opelousas, Louisiana. On other sets of documents furnished to said prime bidders, the payment of $100.00 dollars shall constitute the cost of reproduction and handling and WILL NOT BE REFUNDED. Bids shall be enclosed in a sealed envelope addressed to Jessie Bellard, Parish President, St. Landry Parish Government and plainly marked on the outside, "Bid for Parish Wide Road Improvements (Phase 5) MGA Project S#474.5". Bids must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond in the amount equal to 5% of the bid, made payable to the St. Landry Parish Government, as a guarantee that the bidder will furnish all necessary bonds and enter into a contract if his bid is accepted. Sureties used for obtaining bonds must appear as acceptable on the U.S. Department of Treasury Circular 570 and be licensed to do business in the State of Louisiana. No bidder may withdraw his/her bid within forty-five (45) days after the actual date of the opening thereof.
