Notice Content NOTICE TO BIDDERS Bids will be received by the Wood County Commissioners at their offices located at One Courthouse Square, Bowling Green, Ohio until 2:00 p.m. on April 13, 2021 and at that time and place will be publicly opened and read aloud. Project encompasses renovating and refurbishing Veterans Memorial Plaza in the southwest corner of the courthouse property for Wood County, Ohio. There will be donations of time and materials for many important items within this project. The estimate of probable cost for this project is $312,480.00. The contract documents, including plans and specifications will be available to Contractors Tuesday, March 30, 2021. Documents may be obtained by Contractors from Becker Impressions, 4646 Angola Road, Toledo, Ohio 43615, telephone 419.385.0529, for the cost of reproduction, shipping and tax. The Notice to Bidders is posted on the internet and may be viewed on Wood County's web page at https://www.co.wood.oh.us/commissioners/bids/default.html. All Requests for Information (RFI) and questions must be e-mailed to Bill Steele at Steelew@poggemeyer.com by Wednesday, April 7, 2021 by 2:00 p.m. A copy of our RFI form is included in the specification manual and can also be found on the Wood County Website. If an addendum is required it will be posted Thursday, April 8, 2021 by 2:00 p.m. All bids must be signed and submitted on copies or originals of the blanks which are bound in the contract documents. Bids must state the prices in the blanks provided and be enclosed in a sealed envelope marked - Wood County Veterans Memorial Project - and addressed to Wood County Commissioners, One Courthouse Square, 5th floor, Bowling Green, Ohio 43402. The bid guaranty may be of two forms: 1. A Bid Guaranty and Contract Bond using the form in the Contract Documents. (The amount of the bid does NOT have to appear on this form.) 2. A certified check, cashier's check or letter of credit in favor of the Wood County Commissioners, in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the bid. If the contract is awarded a Contract Bond will be required, which is a one hundred percent (100%) payment and performance bond. All waste materials generated from this project must be taken to the Wood County Landfill for disposal. Contractor shall advise the Wood County Commissioners when the roll-off box is full. The Wood County Commissioners shall be responsible for all hauling and landfill costs and shall provide a roll-off box for this use. The successful bidder will be required to pay not less than the minimum wage rates established by the Department of Commerce, Division of Industrial Compliance, Bureau of Wage and Hour Administration of the State of Ohio in accordance with all provisions of the Prevailing Wage Act of the State of Ohio, ORC Sections 4115.03 and 4115.16 and related requirements. Bids received after the scheduled bid opening date and time, or not accompanied by a satisfactory bid bond or check, will neither be read nor considered. The Board of County Commissioners may reject any or all of the bids. The Board of County Commissioners reserves the right to waive any irregularities in the form of the bid that do not affect or destroy competitive bidding. In no case will an award be made until all necessary investigations are made as to the qualifications of the bidder to whom it is proposed to award the contract.
